Hidetaka Miyazaki Has 1 Less Fan as Elden Ring Player Can’t Take it Anymore

Elden Ring is the latest Soulslike game developed by FromSoftware and the gaming community is enamored with the unique character designs of different enemy types. However, some players jumped in without fully comprehending the difficulty of the genre and went in blind.

The developers did not hold back with this project and upped the creativity charts to the maximum limit. It can be daunting to be on the opposite end of an attack by this massive eye sore but it is a testament to the unique approach of the developers to make the players uncomfortable from a distance.

FromSoftware single-handedly pioneered the Soulslike genre and contributed greatly to the gaming community through its games. The gaming community benefitted from this genre and a generation of competitive players into shape and forged them with the fiery difficulty that director Hidetaka Miyazaki is known for.

The latest Soulslike game influenced other franchises outside gaming like the character design of Qimir’s alter ego in the Disney Plus series The Acolyte. Director Leslye Headland revealed that a cosmetic item called the Elden Bling from Elden Ring inspired the outfit of The Stranger. The design team is renowned for their skill but new players were caught off guard with the horrid designs of enemy variants.

The developers are known to reflect on previous projects for inspiration and other enemy types from the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion are directly inspired by the Bloodborne franchise. These enemies are the stuff of what nightmares are made of and the gaming community was surprised to see the insane level of creativity of Miyazaki.

Unfortunately, the latest expansion was not running on the most stable condition and featured plenty of bugs like duplicating an enemy boss. Doubling the difficulty and making the experience much harder than intended could discourage the gaming community from playing even more.

Director Hidetaka Miyazaki spent many years working on different Soulslike games and applied ambitious and unconventional strategies that stuck throughout the years. The character design of the enemies complements the world and lore Miyazaki was building and is an essential part of his process.

The gaming community is equally impressed and disgusted by what the developers of FromSoftware came up with. Regardless, the horrid character designs are not something to despise or frown upon since these enemies augment the overall player experience.

FromSoftware has been renowned for the unique gaming experience and rather than dialing it back, Miyazaki wanted to go all-in. Pairing great gameplay with a weird character design is a potent mix for success.

Director Miyazaki wanted to give the players the best experience and to fully realize his vision without being held back by judgment by the community. Enemy variety and their appearances can be used to throw them off mid-fight.
