At some point in your journey, you’ll have so many resources stocked up at C.A.M.P. that it won’t matter what you need to craft; you’ll have what’s necessary. But until that point, tracking down key ingredients is a big part of the game. For example, here is how to get Gold Scrap in Fallout 76!
While you will occasionally find Gold Scrap out in the wild, the most common way to get Gold Scrap in Fallout 76 is by scrapping junk items. We’ll have a complete list of junk items that break down into Gold Scrap below, but know that you’re on the lookout for plenty of lighters and cutlery!
There are numerous locations throughout the game where you can find an abundance of Gold Scrap-containing junk items, namely:
- The Whitesprings Golf Club
- The Whitesprings Resort
- The Burrows
- Hornwright Industrial Headquarters
- Garrahan Estate
- Appalachian Antiques
- New River Gorge Resort
Perhaps the easiest way to obtain the resource is to scrap junk to produce gold in Fallout 76. It’s the most cost-effective way, to be sure. Here are the many junk pieces you can break down to obtain Gold Scrap:

You’ll find these junk items all across the wasteland, but many spawn in houses and, most commonly, inside The Whitespring Golf Club!
